6 Months

I cannot even believe Jill is 6 months already! (actually, she's almost 7 now, but I just got her pictures from the photo shoot). She has two bottom teeth that she got at 5 months, and she is army crawling pretty fast across the room. She still loves her solids. She has yet to not like something. Carrots, peas, squash, apples, peaches, pears, beans, tomatoes . . . she likes it all!

My First Mother's Day

I got my first Mother's Day card ever this year. And I'm keeping it forever. I LOVE the little hand! Steve told me it wasn't easy to get, and he had to improvise a bit. But I absolutely love it. I waited a long time to be a mom, and little things like this make me so very happy.

Jill vs Blackjack

If you only watch a bit of this, watch the end, it's too funny! Blackjack has only done this once before, and somehow he happened to do it on camera the other night.

Latest Happenings

I can sit on my own now!

(sorry for Blackjack's bootie, it somehow manages to make it in so many pictures)

Some of you know Jill used to cry every time I put her in the car. Even while driving she'd cry. My sister's 10 year old son, Timmy, was the only one that could keep her from crying when we were out in Tennessee a few weeks back. I wanted to bring him home with me to permanently be her car buddy! Solution: can you find Timmy in the picture below?

Favorite place to roll: under the couch

You put shoes on me, this is what I'll do with them.

With all the baby craziness, sometimes Blackjack just needs his space.

Eating Solids!

You want me to eat what?? Where's my bottle?

I'm really not sure about this stuff Mom.

We waited a week and tried again. Now she loves her solids! So far, she especially loves carrots, sweet potatoes, and pears. Peas and avocados went ok, but she did not suck them down like the others.

P.S. Jill now has two teeth! I haven't been able to get a good picture of them yet, but you can see them a little in the smiling picture above. Her first tooth came in right at 5 months and the second came in a week or two later.
