Christmas Eve we had a romantic dinner at the top of the Stratosphere. The dining area was on a rotation so over the course of 90 minutes we saw an entire 360 degree view of the Strip and the surrounding areas. You can't really see here but the Vegas strip is what we were looking at out the window.
A much better view of the Vegas lights from the top of the Stratosphere.
Pictures from our night on the town . . . the hotels are amazing!
We made our way out to Fremont street (the original Vegas Strip) one morning. It's like today's Strip only much older, much less expensive, and it's canopied. They have light shows and concerts at night. At 10 in the morning . . . it's pretty boring.
My sister lives just outside Vegas so of course we stopped in and hung out for a while. My little brother was visiting as well and my nephew (Grant) is the funny kid in the back stuffing his face with as much chocolate as he could find. The kid lives for chocolate! I'm pretty sure he gets that from his mom's side of the family.
To top it all off, on Christmas night we had tickets to the Cirque du Soleil "LOVE" production (tribute to the Beatles). We were worried it would be a bunch of weirdos in scary costumes dancing like whackos and flying all over. While there was some of that, it was actually surprisingly entertaining and we really enjoyed ourselves! No pictures were allowed inside, so this is in the reception area after the show.
All in all, we had a great time together and can't wait to go back! Maybe next year . . .
